SUSTAINABILITY FAIR, PLANT SWAP & GARDEN TOUR
Every spring, South Pasadena Beautiful, in collaboration with the City of South Pasadena’s Sustainability Division, and Friends of South Pasadena Nature Park, hosts a Sustainability Fair, Garden Tour, and Plant Swap. This vibrant community event takes place in the scenic South Pasadena Arroyo Seco Woodland and Wildlife Park, also known as the Nature Park.
The event is free and family-friendly, filled with engaging activities designed to inspire residents of all ages to adopt a more sustainable, eco-conscious lifestyle.
Sustainability Fair
Connect with local environmental organizations, chat with a master gardener, explore local resources, and discover practical tips to make your daily life more environmentally friendly.
The Environmental Services and Sustainability team from the City of South Pasadena present information on key programs that support a greener future, including:
Water conservation rebate programs
Leaf blower ban and available incentives
New organics recycling regulations
Plant Swap & Native Plant Giveaway
Join South Pasadena Beautiful’s annual Plant Swap, a beloved tradition! Please bring your plant in a pot and label it. People always ask what the plant is and sometimes, we don’t know! Also, please do not bring an armload of cuttings. We want all plants to get taken and not end up in a compost bin.
Engaging Speakers
Enjoy informative talks by guest speakers covering topics such as:
Sustainable gardening practices
Local biodiversity
Eco-friendly lifestyle choices
These sessions are designed to educate, inspire, and empower attendees to make environmentally conscious decisions.
Garden Tour & Family Activities
Take a leisurely guided walk through the Nature Park during our Garden Tour, led by knowledgeable volunteers. Experience South Pasadena’s springtime superbloom, and enjoy nature-themed family activities, including:
The interactive Story Path
A fun-filled Nature Scavenger Hunt for kids
This annual event is a celebration of community, nature, and sustainability. We invite you to come learn, share, and grow with us!
